Explore data on recovery actions needed for ESA-listed species.
Recovery plans for species listed under the U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA) are required to specify the actions to be taken to recovery a species. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service track recovery actions in the Recovery Online Activity Recording System (ROAR) database, which can be searched for tabular results, but does not generate graphical overviews. We requested a download of all ROAR data in May, 2016, and put it into this web application (also embedded below). Feel free to filter the data using the selectors on the left, then view the results as the various graphs update.
