An initial analysis and reporting on recovery actions for ESA-listed species.
Recovery plans for species listed under the U.S. Endangered Species Act (ESA) are required to specify the actions to be taken to recovery a species. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and National Marine Fisheries Service track recovery actions in the ROAR database, which can be searched for tabular results, but does not generate graphical overviews. Here we use a “storyboard” format to explore the data and walk through some of the main results. Simply click along the panels at the top of the page in sequence to work through the story. Once you’re done, you may find our Recovery Actions Explorer useful for a deeper dive into the data.
